I've noticed that a lot of blogs covering Halloween costumes and cosplay seem to be lacking options for plus size women and men. But even worse, costume manufacturers seem to be just as crummy. As a female standing at 6 feet tall, I rarely have luck finding costumes (or even clothes!) at traditional stores, so online shopping has become a saving grace. Today I wanted to cover The Handmaids Tale Plus Size Costumes, since there are some good options if you look around a little. Taking reviews and best price into consideration, I've put together a Plus Size Handmaids Tale Halloween Costumes. All costume ideas are inspired by the show (I have no affiliation with THT, I'm just a massive fan!).

They have the standard sizes XS-L, but also offer X-Large, XX-Large, XXX-Large and Custom Made if you have different sizing needs! Hats off to Voste! They also don't charge an arm and a leg- their XXXL Handmaids Tale Cloak only costs $35.99 (with free express shipping with Prime! Here's a coupon code for Amazon Prime 30 Day Free Trial). Please note, for some reason the title on Amazon states it's a full plus size Handmaid's Tale costume, however it is just the cloak. The reason I'm choosing to feature this company versus others for sale is quality. Being so into The Handmaids Tale costumes and cosplay, I've heard feedback for pretty much every costume available online, and there have been some pretty serious quality issues with some of the other Handmaid's Tale Plus Sized Cloaks. Voste uses a professional tailor for each piece, so they aren't bulk manufactured with cheap materials.

This Handmaid's Tale plus size dress comes in a couple color options suitable for what we need, including red and wine-red. Their sizes range from XL to 4 Plus, and the chart is as follows Large (US 12-14), XL (US 16-18), XXL (US 20-22), 3XL (US24) and 4XL (US 26). Not bad, Poseshe! Many people have purchased this for their Handmaid's Tale inspired costumes, and it looks really great, plus it's a dress you will be able to wear year round, not just a one and done for Halloween! This is another costume component that can be totally hit or miss depending on the manufacturer, and because it's such an important piece (and I know how true to form the Ann Arbor brand is- truly a near exact replica!), I call them my old faithful! (Never had a problem fitting my big head, hah!).

I just downloaded the audio book, and purchased a The Testaments in paperback (I like to follow along while I'm listening). I'm so excited, because the book is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. Thank you, Ms. Atwood. I cannot even explain how happy I am to have a beautiful book, since I'm already feeling Season 3 withdrawrels. Seriously, how are we supposed to wait another YEAR?!
